New Inclusive Beach in Odesa: Comfort for Everyone
A new inclusive beach has been established at the 11th station of the Great Fountain in Odesa, adhering to all international standards for accessibility, safety, and environmental sustainability.
The official opening of this municipal beach, which has received the «AES Standard» certification, took place on July 1.
The beach reconstruction serves as a model for inclusive infrastructure. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of city officials, experts, and builders, the project was completed in a timely manner.
The inclusive beach features special ramps, modern restrooms, and showers designed to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. Additionally, there is a medical station and shelter. After the renovation, the inclusive beach offers convenient pathways and accessible infrastructure, verified by experts and users alike.
The opening event was attended by military veterans, people with disabilities, families with children, and senior citizens.
«Today, residents can see that the renovated beach has been created with care and consideration for everyone. We continue to systematically improve accessibility and develop barrier-free environments, particularly along Odesa's coastline,» said Odesa's mayor, Hennadii Trukhanov.
Recently, an inclusive multisport playground was also opened at the «Dolphin» beach.
