Growth in Electronic Service Tax Revenues in Ukraine

The tax paid by foreign companies for electronic services in Ukraine reached approximately 7 billion UAH from January to May 2025.

As stated by Danilo Getmantsev, Head of the VRU Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, on his Telegram channel, the volume of taxable electronic services grew by 29.5% compared to the same period in 2024. This is also 1.8 billion more than in the same period in 2023.

The number of companies paying this tax has increased to 136. For the period from January to May 2025, revenues amounted to about 7 billion UAH, equivalent to €76.1 million or $85.2 million.

Among the largest taxpayers are Google, Apple, Meta, Valve, Sony, Netflix, Spotify, Adobe, Etsy, Epic, Upwork, and Wargaming Group. Getmantsev also noted that Bolt and Uklon contributed €4.4 million, while OnlyFans paid $0.8 million.

It should be reminded that this tax is a VAT of 20%, which has been in effect since January 1, 2022. It is paid by foreign companies that are not registered in Ukraine based on income from the sale of various electronic services.

Earlier, the head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko, reported that in the first quarter of 2025, the tax brought in 3.5 billion UAH.
