Netherlands Commits to Supporting Ukraine's Recovery
On July 10, the Netherlands declared a commitment of €300 million for the recovery and strengthening of Ukraine in 2025 and 2026.
This was announced by Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldkamp during a conference on Ukraine's recovery held in Rome.
Out of this amount, €30 million will be allocated to support Dutch companies in implementing projects aimed at rebuilding Ukraine.
In 2025, €52 million will be spent on restoring energy infrastructure and drinking water supply in Ukraine.
Another €4 million will go towards building a new wing of the Children’s Hospital in Lviv.
These funds are part of a broader allocation of over €500 million for non-military support to Ukraine.
Veldkamp emphasized the importance of supporting Ukrainian society amid the ongoing military aggression from Russia.
The economy and society of Ukraine must continue to function as they aid the country in its struggle.
Additionally, a cooperation agreement on the continuation of the grant program is expected to be signed during the conference.
Recently, the Netherlands also announced a new military aid package to Ukraine totaling approximately €175 million.
This package complements the previously announced support for maritime security.
