New Features in the Prozorro System for Procurement
The Odesa Regional State Administration reminds that a new field has been added to the Prozorro system, allowing procurement officials to justify the necessity of their purchases. This feature enables them to explain in advance why a particular procurement is necessary.
This will also help the monitoring group, which prepares materials for the «Transparency and Accountability» working group meetings, to consider the arguments of the procurement officials, and the public to understand the benefits of specific purchases.
The innovation will improve communication between procurement officials and the government with society during wartime.
«Procurement officials now have a tool that allows them to explain the importance of their purchases to the public in advance. Currently, they may have valid needs but are forced to justify them only in response to criticism,» noted Mykola Tkachenko, Director of the State Enterprise «Prozorro».
