New Initiatives by the State Tax Service of Ukraine
Over a thousand Ukrainian companies in the retail sector have received notifications via the Electronic Cabinet to prevent potential violations regarding financial transactions.
This was reported by the head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko.
"Our specialists analyzed the fiscal checks of businesses for March 2025. It was noted that there were no cash transactions reflected in their reports. This may indicate a possible neglect of cash transactions via the cash register system", Kravchenko stated.
He added that in the letters, the tax authority suggests that businesses review their previous transactions and ensure that cash transactions are conducted using registrars in the future.
"For the first time in history, the State Tax Service is focusing on preventing violations rather than punishing", Kravchenko explained.
He emphasized that these notifications serve a preventive purpose.
"Correcting these issues will help avoid grounds for actual inspections. We are implementing additional communication measures with taxpayers to encourage voluntary tax payments and compliance with tax discipline", Kravchenko stressed.
