Black Sea Cup in Beach Sambo at New Inclusive Beach
The recently opened inclusive beach at the 11th station of the Great Fountain in Odessa hosted the Black Sea Cup in beach sambo.
Athletes from various regions of Ukraine participated in the competition.
Present at the event were: Deputy Mayor Serhiy Kotsyuba, advisor to the mayor on barrier-free space Oleksiy Morozov, president of the Odessa regional sambo federation NFSU Kadzhik Babajanyan, head of the city’s Department of Physical Culture and Sports Ruslan Puzdrach, and director of the Department of Internal Politics Oleksandr Zhiltsov.
“This beach was created not only as a space for relaxation but also as a true barrier-free venue for events. Today's competition confirms this. Odessa will continue to support sports and accessibility,” noted Serhiy Kotsyuba.
“Our team at the Council for Barrier-Free Space saw the potential of this location from the planning stage. Today's competition is the best evidence that we have succeeded,” said Oleksiy Morozov.
Beach 11 has once again demonstrated its versatility and capacity to host events of various scales, uniting sports, inclusion, and city development.
