Odesa Comic Wave: A Celebration of Geek Culture
On July 26 and 27, the Odesa Film Studio will host the Odesa Comic Wave, a festival dedicated to geek culture. This two-day event will bring together fans of comics, anime, video games, and cosplay from across the country.
Festival Program Highlights
Throughout the two days, attendees of Odesa Comic Wave will be immersed in a vibrant fantasy world. Guests can look forward to dozens of interactive activities, hundreds of cosplayers, a themed market, and an exciting program. The festival area will feature interactive photo zones, a themed fair, gaming areas with VR, console games, and esports tournaments, as well as tabletop game zones. Moreover, there will be a food court, workshops, lectures, quests, and a large charity market.
Key events of the festival include a dazzling cosplay parade, dance performances by K-pop cover dance teams, and a pet costume parade called Pets Cosplay. Attendees will also have the chance to win prizes from event partners.
The organizers of Odesa Comic Wave have shared that this year’s event has a charitable focus: a portion of the activities will support children with mental disabilities, animal shelters, and fundraising for the needs of Ukraine's defenders.
