Accessibility Initiatives in Odessa
The city of Odessa is actively implementing initiatives under the program “Movement Without Barriers”.
Today, July 24, a significant online meeting was held with representatives from the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine. Participants discussed the documentation needed for project implementation and cooperation with businesses to foster an inclusive environment.
Following the mayor Gennady Trukhanov's directive, active reconstruction works have already begun along the barrier-free route in Odessa.
Specifically, preparations are underway for the renovation of sidewalks, installation of ramps, tactile elements, and inclusive navigation signs.
