Enhancing Accessibility in Odessa for Everyone
Serhiy Kotsyuba, the deputy mayor of Odessa, held a meeting with experts from the Barrier-Free Council.
The primary aim is to ensure comfortable and safe movement around the city for people with disabilities, veterans, and all mobility-impaired groups.
Currently, route analysis is underway: the condition of pedestrian infrastructure, points of tourist interest, service areas, and navigation systems is being examined.
“We aspire for every guest and resident of Odessa to experience the city not only as beautiful but also genuinely accessible,” emphasized Oleksiy Morozov, the advisor to the mayor on barrier-free space.
The work on the routes will proceed in several phases and involve consultations with the public, experts, and representatives of mobility-impaired groups.
