New AI Features Unveiled in Google Workspace
Google has announced a suite of innovative artificial intelligence features for Workspace users. One of the standout additions is the ability to create podcasts from documents written in Google Docs.
This feature was first introduced in NotebookLM in the fall of 2024 but was previously unavailable in Ukraine. Now, it is set to become accessible to all Workspace users globally. The AI will not only read the text aloud but will also generate a podcast featuring two hosts discussing the content.
Google has yet to disclose the supported languages, but the feature is expected to roll out in the coming weeks.
Additionally, a new feature called Help me refine will act as a personal AI editor, providing suggestions for improving written text. This rollout is scheduled for the next quarter.
In Google Sheets, a new feature named Help me analyze will allow users to analyze data, generate illustrative charts, and identify trends. This functionality is expected to be available by the end of 2025.
