Odesa's Drinking Water Facilities: Maintenance and Quality Control
In Odesa, there are 17 drinking water facilities that provide access to artesian water from depths ranging from 80 to 120 meters. All facilities are managed by the municipal enterprise «Service Center» and are available to all residents.
Every day, the employees prepare the equipment for dispensing clean water and maintain order in the areas surrounding the facilities.
Some of their tasks include:
- disinfecting water dispensing taps;
- cleaning water dispensing zones;
- clearing the adjacent territory;
- regularly cleaning the rooftops of the facilities from debris.

According to an agreement with the State Institution «Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine», the quality of water in these facilities is tested monthly.
