Heroic Rescue at Sea: Border Guards Save a Man
On March 27, during a patrol of the maritime border, the crew of the State Border Guard Service's maritime protection boat discovered an empty inflatable boat in the sea. Upon closer inspection, the border guards saw a man clinging to the side of the boat, struggling to get out of the water. This was reported by the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Due to the cold water temperature, the victim was quickly losing strength. The sailors immediately pulled him aboard, provided necessary assistance, and warmed him with hot tea. It turned out that the man fell into the water due to his own carelessness. The boat was towed to shore.
"The condition of the rescued individual is satisfactory; he did not require medical assistance," the report stated.
