Odesa's Recovery: Mayor on Damaged Building
Hennadiy Trukhanov, the mayor of Odesa, addressed the situation regarding the building affected by a drone strike. He assured that the authorities will do everything possible for the residents to return home swiftly.
During an on-site meeting, the mayor spoke with the affected residents of the building on Yaroslav the Wise Avenue. The incident occurred on the night of May 1, and the building was declared hazardous following expert assessment.
Residents are offered compensation for housing rentals under the city program. «An extraordinary session is scheduled for May 13, where deputies will discuss funding for the building's restoration. After the regional emergency commission reviews the technical report, we will do everything possible to ensure families return as soon as possible,» Trukhanov stated.
