Taekwondo: Success of Young Athletes in Lviv
From August 21 to 23, 2025, Lviv hosted the Ukrainian Taekwondo (WTF) Championship for juniors and the competition for sports schools.
Over 200 athletes from 19 regions of Ukraine participated in the events.
The athletes from the Odessa region, representing the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 17, achieved remarkable results:
Sports Schools Championship:
Danil Modnov – 1st place, 51 kg (juniors);
Kyril Pavlyuchenko – 3rd place, 68 kg (juniors);
Matviy Lukashuk – 3rd place, 73 kg (juniors);
Ulyana Protsenko – 2nd place, 55 kg (juniors);
Lina Yeremenko – 3rd place, 59 kg (juniors);
Denis Sevastyano – 3rd place, 30 kg (boys).
Junior Championship:
Anastasia Volosenko - 1st place - 46 kg;
Danila Komarov - 1st place, 45 kg;
Matviy Lukashuk – 1st place, 68 kg;
Zlata Volosenko - 2nd place, 49 kg;
Danil Modnov - 3rd place - 51 kg.
The athletes were trained by coaches Viktor Semanyuk and Yulia Podolyans.
In the Taekwondo (WTF) section of the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 17, there are 133 athletes training.
