Volleyball Tournament: New Champions in Odessa
The first round of the open volleyball tournament «Southern League» for girls aged 2008 and 2010 years took place in Odessa.
Eleven teams from Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kryvyi Rih, and Zhytomyr participated in the competition. The tournament format includes four regular rounds and one final round.
The Odessa team «Lantana» excelled among the 2008-born athletes, winning all their matches and losing only two sets in the tournament. The second place in this category was taken by the athletes from Mykolaiv, while the third place went to the team from Kryvyi Rih.
In the competition for 2010-born athletes, the Odessa team «Dzhinistra» achieved a confident victory. The team from Zhytomyr secured the second position, and Mykolaiv's team finished third.
The «Dzhinistra» team also included athletes from the beach volleyball department.
