Conference on Accessibility in Odesa
On December 5, 2024, a conference titled «Odesa Accessible for All» will take place in Odesa.
The aim of the conference is to unite the efforts of the city authorities and businesses to
develop a barrier-free environment in tourism and the hospitality industry.
This is an urgent topic identified by the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine as a key focus for 2024. Despite the challenges of wartime, Odesa continues to welcome both domestic and international tourists, thus it is crucial to focus on the accessibility of infrastructure and inclusivity in the tourism sector.
A special guest at the forum will be Oleksandr Budko (call sign Teren), a Ukrainian military veteran, public figure, athlete, and writer. He lost both limbs during the Slobozhansky counteroffensive in 2022 but continues his active public work, raising issues of inclusion and veteran support. Oleksandr is a medalist of the «Invictus Games - 2023» in swimming and the author of the autobiographical novel «The Story of a Stubborn Man».
Representatives from hotels, restaurants, museums, theaters, medical institutions, tour guides, and anyone interested in developing an inclusive environment are invited to participate in the conference.
To participate in the forum, registration is required via this link.
Registration is open until November 29, 2024, and the number of places is limited. You can also register using a QR code.
