New Platform Launched for Ukrainian Children's Education Abroad
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has announced the launch of a new online platform designed for registering children in the Ukrainian studies program. This program is tailored for those temporarily residing abroad and studying remotely in Ukrainian schools. It helps avoid double educational burdens and maintains a connection with the home country through education.
On the platform, parents can select a school that offers the Ukrainian studies component and submit an application for their child's enrollment.
How to Apply for Parents:
- Visit the platform ukrainian.studies.mon.gov.ua
- Log in via id.gov.ua
- Create a profile for your child, choose a school and class
- Submit an application for your child
- Await a response from the school within 5 working days
«Currently, over 360,000 children are studying abroad while continuing their education in Ukrainian schools remotely. Our aim is to ensure that every child, regardless of their location, has access to quality education in Ukraine. The Ukrainian studies program allows for maintaining a connection with Ukraine without the burden of double learning. The platform simplifies the registration process and makes it clear for parents in various countries,» said Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Nadia Kuzmychova.
What is the Ukrainian Studies Program?
The Ukrainian studies program is a streamlined educational initiative for Ukrainian schoolchildren temporarily living abroad.
It offers:
- reduced educational burden;
- continuation of Ukrainian education remotely;
- the ability to study in local schools simultaneously.
What subjects are included in the program?
- Ukrainian language
- Ukrainian literature
- History of Ukraine
- Geography of Ukraine
- Basics of Law
- Defense of Ukraine
Other subjects studied at local schools abroad will be credited towards the Ukrainian education program.
The Ministry of Education and Science has developed a grading scale for recognition in certain countries where Ukrainian students reside.
This decision will help children remain part of the Ukrainian educational system — without overload and without losing connection to Ukraine.
