Implementing New Strategies to Prevent Youth Violence
As part of an initiative for high school students in Odessa, inspectors from the Patrol Police Department organized an interactive game titled "Create a Safety Circle".
This game serves as an important tool for raising awareness about issues related to violence, bullying, and methods of prevention.
The «Safety Circle» methodology, developed with the support of UNICEF Ukraine, includes five key themes: «Basics of Violence», «Bullying Among Children», «Online Violence», «Domestic Violence», and «Safety with Strangers».
During the game, participants discussed the importance of preventing violence, its causes, and its societal impacts.
Student leaders were also introduced to legal responsibilities and avenues for seeking help in cases of violence.
Patrol officers emphasized the importance of not hiding instances of violence and contacting authorities when necessary.
This event aims to increase youth awareness regarding lawful behavior and accountability for offenses, while also preventing bullying and aggressive behavior.
