A New Chapter for Student Government in Odesa
Leaders of the student government from local secondary schools in Odesa held the inaugural meeting of the High School Parliament for the 2024/2025 academic year.
During the meetings, students reviewed the Parliament's activities from the 2023/2024 academic year. The most active participants were awarded certificates from the Odesa City Council's Department of Education.
Attendees included graduates and members from last year's Parliament who came to support the new candidates and share their experiences.
Following this year's voting, the candidates receiving the highest number of votes and elected to the presidium of the High School Parliament for the 2024/2025 academic year are Alina Dildina (Kyiv District), Elizabeth Buzinovska (Primorsky District), Milena Mala (Khadyzhebay District), and Daria Boyarska (Peresyp District).
Leaders of the district parliaments will join the Youth Council under the Odesa Mayor, representing the interests of Odesa's youth in the city council and participating in shaping youth policy.
During the meeting, projects to be implemented in the 2024/2025 academic year were approved. Key areas of focus for the Parliament include protecting socially vulnerable populations, promoting a healthy lifestyle, environmental initiatives, cultural and charitable events, volunteering, and more.
