New Educational Opportunities for Children in Odesa
As part of the initiative «Creating Digital Educational Centers DLC and Providing Psychosocial Support for Children and Youth», new Digital Educational Centers DLC No. 27 and No. 28 have been opened at Odesa Lyceums No. 9 and No. 65.
These centers will offer children a wide range of educational activities:
- using artificial intelligence for testing and assessing knowledge in school subjects;
- group offline sessions to fill learning gaps in subjects like mathematics, history, languages, physics, biology, chemistry, etc.;
- opportunities to play board games, educational games, watch movies, and socialize with peers in an informal setting;
- conducting training sessions on digital literacy, cybersecurity, psychological resilience, communication skills, and financial literacy;
- qualified psychologists will provide emotional support during both individual and group sessions;
- during career orientation testing, children will discover their intelligence type and receive recommendations on primary and additional professions, as well as participate in an online tour of leading Ukrainian enterprises;
- organizing educational and developmental events, workshops, training sessions, festivals, and flash mobs.
The centers will also operate during vacations, ensuring systematic lessons to address educational losses in core subjects.
The primary goal of the Digital Educational Centers (DLC) is to ensure continuous learning for children and teenagers, help overcome educational losses, provide opportunities for participation in informal educational activities, offer psychosocial support for children, teenagers, their parents, and teachers, as well as enhance teachers' professional competencies. All activities are related to the implementation of modern digital technologies.
This project is being implemented by the Association of Innovative and Digital Education in collaboration with UNICEF, supported by the Government of Japan.
