International Autism Conference in Odesa
On May 20, 2025, an international conference titled «Odesa Discusses Autism» commenced in Odesa, uniting leading specialists from the UK, Germany, the USA, and Ukraine.
The event was dedicated to addressing critical issues related to autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and pathways to enhance the social adaptation of children with special educational needs.
Conference participants shared experiences, discussed modern approaches to the rehabilitation, education, and support for children with autism, and forged new professional partnerships to create an inclusive society.
The Odesa City Council is already implementing several initiatives to support individuals with ASD and their families. However, the demand for such services is rising, making it imperative for the city to continuously improve its support system and expand the range of assistance offered.
During the event, honorary certificates and awards were presented on behalf of the Odesa Mayor to specialists working daily in the field of social adaptation and rehabilitation of children with autism.
