Renovation of Accessibility Beach Continues
At the 11th station of the Great Fountain, renovation work for the beach catering to persons with disabilities is ongoing.
The project is commissioned by the Engineering Protection Department of the Odessa City Council.
Currently, a metal framework and terrace decking have been installed, fencing elements are mounted on the trestle, and a metal ramp for sea access is being assembled and installed.
Reinforced concrete ramps and beach decks have been fabricated and delivered, along with fencing elements that will be affixed to the retaining wall.
Additionally, major repairs have been completed on sewage pumps and the external sewage system, while changing rooms and showers have been refurbished, and monolithic concrete stairs for beach access have been built.
Renovation work is also underway for the restroom facilities for persons with limited mobility, medical station, and security storage room.
Preparations are ongoing for a concrete area intended for the installation of exercise equipment.
For the safety of future beachgoers, a concrete shelter has been fabricated, delivered, and installed.
The completion of the renovation of the inclusive beach is scheduled for the end of June 2025.
