European Delegation Visits Odesa
Last week, Odesa welcomed representatives from European institutions, including the EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Ms. Katarina Maternova, and the head of the regional office of the European Investment Bank, Kristina Mikulova.
During their working visit, the delegation explored the operations of the tram repair workshops at the municipal enterprise ‘Odesmiskelektrans’ and toured the electric transport museum, where a brief guided tour was provided.
Last year, under the project ‘Urban Public Transport of Ukraine’ and with financial support from the European Investment Bank, multi-section Tatra trams were purchased.
Currently, these trams serve route No. 7, offering comfortable transportation for the residents of Odesa.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of ongoing and future initiatives aimed at modernizing urban transport, enhancing its efficiency and eco-friendliness.
This visit marked an important step in strengthening the partnership between Odesa, the European Union, and the European Investment Bank in the field of sustainable urban development.
