Honoring the Memory of Fallen Defenders of Ukraine
Today, new informational stands have been unveiled in Heroes' Alley at Taras Shevchenko Park, honoring the memory of 144 fallen defenders of Ukraine.
Currently, information about 421 heroes is displayed in Heroes' Alley. The work of memorializing continues.
“Each of these heroes is a piece of the great strength that allowed Ukraine to endure and continue its fight for a free future. Their heroism is the foundation of our independence, and we must always remember this. Thanks to their dedication, we can today live, work, and build the future of our nation,” said the Mayor of Odesa, Gennadiy Trukhanov.
Additionally, at the request of relatives, Christmas trees have been set up near the Alley, which children from the families of fallen defenders will decorate with handmade ornaments as part of the St. Nicholas Day celebration.
