Collaboration for Children's Welfare in Odesa Region

On November 27, 2024, Odesa's Deputy Mayor Pavlo Vugelman held a working meeting with the head of the UNICEF Office in Ukraine, Ms. Audrey Lecomte.

During the meeting, the project «Family Resilience - A Sustainable Future: Transforming Child Care in Odesa and Mykolaiv Regions» was introduced, which is being implemented in partnership with the Odesa City Council.

The project aims to enhance family-based care and create conditions that allow children to stay with their families.

Special emphasis is placed on integrated services that will support not only children but also their families in challenging life circumstances.

«We are grateful to our partners at UNICEF for this significant project that will help create new opportunities for family support in the region. Together, we are working to ensure that every child has the right to be raised in a loving and caring family,» said Pavlo Vugelman.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the establishment of a working group to coordinate activities related to the project's implementation.

The realization of this project is expected to be an important step towards strengthening family resilience and ensuring children's welfare in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
