Metropolitan Epiphany's Visit to Odesa
During his visit to Odesa, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphany met with local officials to discuss important spiritual matters.
In Odesa, alongside Archbishop Afanasiy, he visited hospitals where defenders of Ukraine are being treated.
As part of the visit, the metropolitan held discussions with regional leaders, military personnel, benefactors, and intellectuals.
Oleg Radkovskyi, the first deputy head of the regional council, presented the metropolitan with an award and expressed gratitude for his support.
«Your presence in these challenging times is a symbol of faith for the people of Odesa. Prayer and the church support our soldiers in the fight for Ukraine. Thanks to your dedication, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine becomes a spiritual shield for our nation», – noted Oleg Radkovskyi.
During the solemn meeting, the metropolitan presented church awards to representatives of the military and authorities for their contributions to spiritual revival.
His Beatitude also shared his views on Ukraine's spiritual security, the social and religious situation in the region, and the role of the Church in society.
