Cancer Prevention Week in Odesa
From February 2 to 6, 2026, healthcare facilities in Odesa will hold a Cancer Prevention Week.
This initiative is organized with the support of the Odesa City Council's Health Department and the Odesa Health Center, in honor of World Cancer Day, which is observed on February 4.
During this week, everyone is invited to visit their family doctors for health screenings, and if needed, to obtain electronic referrals for cancer screening services: breast ultrasound or mammography for women, PAP tests, PSA tests for men, stool tests for hidden blood, and chest X-rays.
To access free health screenings, please contact your family doctor with whom you have a signed declaration. If you do not have a declaration, you can make one with the family doctor at the healthcare facility you visit.
Timely diagnosis allows for the detection of precancerous conditions and malignant tumors at early stages, which can be effectively treated.
