New Attacks on Odesa Region by Russian Forces
On the evening of February 28, Russian armed forces launched a drone attack on the Odesa region. The type and number of drones are still being determined. The Odesa district was targeted, resulting in the death of one man, as reported by the prosecutor's office.
The attack claimed the life of a 41-year-old man, and three others were injured and taken to the hospital. A private house, a business, a sports facility, and several vehicles were damaged during the assault.
An assessment of the damage is ongoing, and a complete list of destruction is being compiled. Prosecutors are working with law enforcement agencies to document the consequences of the Russian aggression at the scene.
“Under the guidance of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the military crimes that led to the loss of life (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation is being conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region” – the statement reads.
