Two Men Arrested for Storing Grenades
Two men from the Podilskyi district were found storing grenades at their homes. They face up to seven years in prison.
Law enforcement received information that two men, aged 32 and 49, were illegally keeping military supplies in their residences. Following a court-sanctioned search, items resembling grenades were discovered. Preliminary reports from explosives experts confirmed that these were hand fragmentation grenades, classified as military supplies. The police have sent them for expert examination.
«Based on the evidence collected, we have informed the suspects of their charges under part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This concerns the illegal acquisition and storage of military supplies. According to current legislation, the offenders face up to seven years of imprisonment. During the investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector and the Podilskyi District Prosecutor's Office, we will determine the origin of the military supplies and other circumstances of the crimes», - reported Oleksandr Zhukovskyi, the head of the Podilskyi district police.
