New Educational Initiatives in Odesa Region
The Odesa region is embarking on a new phase in creating modern educational spaces: preparations for the profile school are ongoing.
The Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Anton Shalyhaylo, along with the Director of the Department of Education and Science, Oleksandr Lonchak, participated in an event held in Kyiv, discussing new approaches to the arrangement of educational institutions.
This event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as part of the senior profile school reform, aimed at discussing further cooperation on the modernization of educational spaces, laboratories, and workshops in general and vocational education institutions funded by state and local budgets.
The government has allocated nearly 500 million UAH for the modernization of profile senior school classrooms. Currently, a selection process for project proposals has been announced to receive funding in 2025 for the creation of contemporary educational environments.
Well-equipped classrooms will create the necessary conditions for the successful implementation of the senior school reform, allowing students starting in 2027 to choose their learning profiles, as well as subjects and courses according to their interests and future aspirations.
