Odessa and Bristol: Exploring New Partnerships

Odessa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, held an online meeting with the head of the Bristol City Council, Mr. Tony Dyer.

During their dialogue, the parties discussed potential collaborations, especially in cinema and UNESCO-related activities.

Bristol is known for its vibrant cultural scene, particularly in the film industry. Since 2017, the city has been a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities network, receiving the title of 'City of Film.'

"I believe that international relations thrive on partnerships between municipalities, which are more effective. It is crucial for us to learn from your experiences in addressing community issues and managing UNESCO sites, as well as preserving architectural heritage. We aim to adopt your approaches to maintain our identity while progressing forward," emphasized the mayor of Odessa.

In the near future, representatives from Bristol plan to visit Odessa to strengthen their partnership and gain a deeper understanding of the city's culture, history, and business environment.

Bristol was named the best city in Britain to live in 2014 and 2017 and received the title of 'European Green Capital' in 2015.
