Fire Hazard Alert in Odesa Region: Essential Safety Tips

For April 21, a heightened fire risk is predicted in the Odesa region. Due to weather conditions, fire can spread quickly in case of ignition. Meteorologists urge citizens to exercise extreme caution with fire.
This has been reported by the Hydrometeorological Center of the Black and Azov Seas.
"Weather conditions will likely increase the probability of fires in ecosystems in the presence of ignition sources," the meteorologists stated.
Fire risk in Odesa
According to meteorologists, the danger will persist and spread across almost the entire Odesa region. A high level of alert has been declared in the following settlements:
- Lyubashivka;
- Zatyshia;
- Serbka;
- Rozdilna;
- Sarata;
- Bolhrad;
- Vylkove;
- Izmail.
Fire Safety Guidelines
To prevent fires, adhere to the following safety rules:
- do not burn dry grass or leaves on private plots, as this can lead to uncontrolled fires;
- do not light open flames near dry vegetation and outbuildings;
- do not discard cigarette butts and matches on dry ground;
- avoid visiting forests entirely, as there is a risk of encountering explosive objects contaminating large areas of Ukraine.
If you spot a fire, immediately call the Rescue Service at number 101.
Experts also emphasize that in hot and windy weather, even a single spark can lead to a massive ecological disaster.
