Celebrating Art: New Coin Honoring Lyubov Panchenko

On April 15, World Art Day, a new commemorative coin titled «The World of Couture Art: Lyubov Panchenko» was unveiled to celebrate the remarkable contributions of artist and designer Lyubov Panchenko.

This was announced by the National Bank of Ukraine.

The coin «The World of Couture Art: Lyubov Panchenko» has a nominal value of 10 hryvnias. It is made of 925 sterling silver, with a minting quality categorized as «special uncirculated», weighing 31.1 g of pure metal and measuring 38.6 mm in diameter. The edge of the coin is smooth with recessed inscriptions indicating the metal, its grade, and the logo of the Banknote and Minting Factory.

The obverse of the coin features a stylized portrait of Lyubov Panchenko, framed by elements from her famous work «Bucha Spring».

The artist's gaze, full of creative energy and freedom, seems to transcend time and space, symbolizing dedication to ideals. This composition highlights the deep connection between the artist and her homeland.

«Bucha Spring» is not merely a painting; it stands as a manifesto of beauty and resilience, as it was in Bucha that the artist was born and lived. This image is forever etched in the city's memory and in the hearts of her admirers, becoming a symbol of hope for revival.
