Accident on Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue
The incident occurred today, April 27, in the afternoon on Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue.
According to the head of the transport crime investigation department of the Odesa region police, Dmytro Slyuta, it has been preliminarily established that a 46-year-old female driver of a «Ravon» vehicle, while exiting a car wash, lost control, damaged a fence, and drove onto the sidewalk, where she struck a 7-year-old girl, pinning her against a parked «Renault» car.
Medical personnel hospitalized the child with suspected pubic bone fractures, bruises, and scrapes.
Law enforcement checked the driver for intoxication – she was sober.
The investigative group of the regional police is establishing all the circumstances of the incident. The issue of entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations is being resolved.
Police once again urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules and to be attentive and cautious behind the wheel.
