Odessa Volunteers Revive Military Equipment at the Park
Participants of the initiative group «Defenders of the 411th Battery Park» shared updates on Facebook.
According to Alla Fedorova, one of the group members, Odessa residents decided to assist park staff in restoring military equipment.
«There is much to say about the condition of the equipment at the 411th Battery Memorial, but it’s better to take action—helpers will come from all walks of life! We aimed to help park workers a bit, and more and more people wanted to join in, so we’ve accomplished quite a lot.»
Odessa residents demonstrated their love for the 411th Battery Memorial not just in words», – she stated.
She noted that many were eager to help, especially children. The activists also received support from the military of the 28th Odessa Brigade, volunteers, and the new park management.
The painting of military equipment by active Odessa residents is still ongoing, and it is likely not the last initiative of this kind.
