Rowing Competition in Kyiv

Kyiv hosted a significant rowing competition dedicated to the memory of the esteemed Ukrainian coach Stanislav Zahoria.

The tournament saw participation from 28 teams across Ukraine. Odesa was represented by a team of adaptive athletes - veterans who have sustained injuries during the war but are now actively engaged in sports, proving that willpower and team spirit can overcome any obstacle.

Prior to the tournament, the Odesa team held training sessions, familiarized themselves with the course, and prepared for the competition ahead - facing distances that required endurance, teamwork, and inner strength. The competition was fierce, with strong opponents.

During the competition, Odesa's rowers once again showcased their high level of preparation and determination, earning podium finishes in the rowing events. It was their spirit, perseverance, daily training, and genuine team support that led to this well-deserved success.

This victory is not just a sporting achievement; it is also a crucial step towards the full recognition of adaptive sports. Our athletes demonstrate that nothing is impossible.

Odesa will continue to support the development of adaptive sports and strive for equal opportunities for everyone.
