Ukrainian Athlete Triumphs at French Championships
Ukrainian athlete Mykhailo Kokan achieved victory at the club championships in France for hammer throw, held on Sunday, May 18, in Franconville.
Sixteen competitors participated in the event, and Kokan emerged victorious with a throw of 72.89m. His best result this season is 80.73 meters, recorded at the Antalya Cup in Turkey at the end of April.
Next Saturday, May 24, Kokan will compete in the Continental Gold Tour Memorial Boris Khanzekovich taking place in Zagreb (Croatia). Also participating will be 30-year-old Ukrainian runner Viktoriya Tkachuk.
It is worth noting that 24-year-old Kokan is a bronze medalist in hammer throw at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
