Remarkable Victory for Ukraine's Volleyball Team

The Ukrainian volleyball team delivered an outstanding performance in their match against Cuba in the Nations League, achieving a record number of blocks over the past four years.

The match concluded with a victory for the Ukrainian players in a tiebreaker. Throughout the match, the Ukrainian volleyball players executed 17 blocks, with 5 credited to Yuriy Semenyuk, who was the standout player of the match.

This performance was last matched during the group stage of the 2021 European Championship against Portugal, where they recorded 19 blocks.

It also marks a record number of blocks for Ukraine under Argentine coach Raúl Lozano, who took charge of the team in 2024 and has already conducted 13 matches. The match against Cuba surpassed the block count from the final of the 2024 Golden European League against Croatia, which had 14 blocks.
