Usyk Declares Crawford the Best Boxer in the World
Oleksandr Usyk, the WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBO heavyweight champion, named the best boxer in the world.
According to Usyk, he does not consider himself the best, attributing that title to Terence Crawford. The 37-year-old American was the undisputed world champion at welterweight and has held WBO, WBC, WBA-Super, and IBF titles over the years.
In 2023-2024, Crawford was named the best boxer in the world regardless of weight class by The Ring.
On September 13, Crawford will fight Saul Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas, with the match streamed live on Netflix, featuring a special The Ring belt on the line.
As for Usyk, he is set to face Daniel Dubois on July 19 at Wembley. Their first encounter took place on August 26, 2023, in Wroclaw, where Usyk won by technical knockout in the 9th round.
Crawford previously included one of the Ukrainian boxers in his list of those he considers "elite".
