Shooting Championship: Young Athletes Shine
From August 10 to 17, the Ukrainian shooting championship for young athletes born in 2002 and younger took place in Vinnytsia.
Athletes from the Odesa region represented the Complex Children's and Youth Sports School No. 3 and the regional shooting sports school.
In the men's prone smallbore rifle event at 50 meters, the champion was Ivan Tkalenko (regional shooting sports school), while Ilya Ananyev (Children's and Youth Sports School No. 3) took home the bronze.
In the MG-5 event (shooting from three positions), Ivan Tkalenko won the silver medal, and the team consisting of Ivan Tkalenko, Danil Ananyev, and Yegor Mosuzenko earned bronze medals.
In the women's prone smallbore rifle competition at 50 meters, the bronze medals were claimed by the Odesa team, including Ksenia Gerasimova (Children's and Youth Sports School No. 3), Olga Rudik, and Ekaterina Nikonенко (regional shooting sports school).
The athletes were coached by Olga Chikalo (Children's and Youth Sports School No. 3) and Svitlana Skachko (regional shooting sports school).
