Julia Starodubtseva Advances to the Second Round of Roland Garros 2025

Ukrainian tennis player Julia Starodubtseva has successfully advanced to the second round of Roland Garros 2025, defeating German player Tamara Korbach.

Starodubtseva entered the main draw as a lucky loser. Although she lost in the qualifying finals, she was given a second chance after Romanian Sorana Cirstea withdrew.

In her first match, she faced Korbach, who had successfully navigated through three rounds of qualifications. This was their second encounter: in 2024, Starodubtseva had won a three-set battle against the German.
