Youth World Wrestling Championship in Novi Sad
From October 20 to 27, 2025, the Youth World Championship in Greco-Roman, women's, and freestyle wrestling for athletes under 23 years old took place in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Representing the National Team of Ukraine, the athlete Ruslan Abdiyev from Odesa excelled in the 82 kg weight category, earning a silver medal and showcasing exceptional technique, endurance, and sportsmanship.
Ruslan is a member of the 9th Sports Club of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. His coaches, Viktor Klintzov and Yuriy Prokofiev, prepared him for the competition.
As a result of the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament, the Ukrainian team secured second place among 44 countries, winning two gold and two silver medals.
