Muay Thai Tournament in Dnipro: Honoring Heroes
From March 6 to March 9, 2025, an open Muay Thai tournament named "Dnipro Star" took place in Dnipro.
This year, the event was dedicated to the defenders of our homeland.
160 athletes from Odesa, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Berdychiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kharkiv, and clubs from the Dnipropetrovsk region participated to compete for awards.
The greatest motivation for each boxer in their pursuit of victory was the upcoming championship in Ukraine in April, along with the chance to join the national team.
The athletes from Odesa's Youth Sports School No. 7 secured 14 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals at the tournament.
The winners included: Nikita Kuts, Bohdan Studnev, Kyrylo Berezovsky, Volodymyr Trufkaki, Elizaveta Velykova, Diana Savotina, Oleksandr Andriushchenko, Ivan Rasputny, Vladislav Postnov, Timur Katerynchak, Oleksandr Zabara, Mark Yushchuk, Pavlo Balabko, and Yelysei Shayenko.
The silver medals were won by: Dmytro Zanin, Kira Laryonova, Mykhailo Honcharuk, Ruslan Kravchenko, and Sviatoslav Shayenko.
Bronze medals were awarded to Timur Ostrovskyi and Myroslav Yakush.
The athletes were trained by coaches: Volodymyr Pishenin, Liliya Shapoval, Mykhailo Mitaki, and Mykhailo Kovalchuk.
The tournament was organized by the Dnipro City Muay Thai Federation in collaboration with the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade.
