Highlights of the Youth Basketball Championship Final
The youth basketball championship final for boys born in 2012 concluded in Ternopil.
In the decisive match, the teams from Dnipro SDYUSSHOR-5 faced off against Uzhhorod-ZODYUSSH.
The reigning champions, SDYUSSHOR-5, went through the entire season undefeated and won the final confidently with a score of 96:58.
In the third-place match, Odesa's SDYUSSHOR named after B.D. Litvak triumphed over the Cherkasy region team ‘Cherkasy Monkeys’ with a score of 71:62. Ivan Vasilyev from the Odesa team, who made it to the symbolic all-star team of the season, scored 30 points.
The athletes were trained by coaches Igor Solovey, Valeriy Balashov, and Vladislav Yanakі.
In the specialized out-of-school educational institutions in Odesa, 394 students are engaged in basketball.
