Celebrating Talent: The 'Rainbow Colors' Folk Instrument Competition in Odesa
From April 14-16, 2025, the 'Rainbow Colors' national competition for folk instrument performers took place at the Odesa School of Arts No. 1 named after E. G. Hilels.
A total of 111 talented participants, including children and youth from various artistic educational institutions in Ukraine, participated: 77 soloists and 8 ensembles.
The participants hailed from diverse locations including Odesa, Chornomorsk, Izmail, and many others like Tatarbunary, Pechenizhin, Lokachi, Cherkasy, Hordynia, Chernihiv, Smila, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Chernivtsi, Sloboda, Lutsk, and Kharkiv.
On April 16, a gala concert and an award ceremony for the winners of the 'Rainbow Colors' competition were held.
The laureates received certificates and participated in the concert.
As part of the competition, a masterclass and a chamber concert were conducted by People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor Volodymyr Murza, and a creative meeting took place with Nina Morozovich, the founder of the bandura class.
A presentation on the topic 'Video Sequence in the Concert Performance of a Modern Guitarist' was also held, delivered by Dr. Ivan Kosynets.
