International Chess Festival: Odessa Team's Achievement
From June 30 to July 6, the team from Odessa Lyceum No. 9 participated in an international chess festival held in Iasi (Romania).
The tournament featured 84 teams from various parts of the world.
The Odessa team achieved an impressive result, finishing 10th in the under-12 category. Kateryna Stanchak secured 2nd place among girls, winning 7 out of 8 games.
The chess team gained significant experience and wonderful memories from the trip.
The young chess players were trained for the competition by coach Olena Barsova.
