UN Delegation Visits Odesa: New Pathways for Development
A mission from the United Nations, including representatives from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), is currently visiting Odesa.
This visit, organized as part of the collaboration with various UN agencies, includes five UN ambassadors and other distinguished guests.
During their working visit, the delegation toured projects being implemented with the support of the UN.
The city mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance to Odesa, particularly for the involvement in the renovation of Hospital No. 8.
Gennady Trukhanov highlighted that while the facility is not an emergency hospital, it has saved many lives, including victims of hostile attacks who required urgent medical attention, provided by highly qualified staff.
The participants also discussed further collaboration possibilities, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of sewage systems and building housing for internally displaced persons.
