Digital Transformation of Healthcare in Odesa
To implement modern digital technologies in the healthcare sector, the Odesa City Council's Department of Health has signed a cooperation agreement with Ukraine's leading medical information system, Helsi.
This agreement aims to enhance medical services for doctors and patients, including the introduction of innovative digital solutions that will improve communication between healthcare facilities and their patients. This will allow for the prompt generation of analytical reports in a standardized format, reducing the need for paper reporting and creating a basis for swift and informed management decisions in healthcare.
Another important aspect of the cooperation is the creation of accessible digital services for the medical support of veterans. The partnership with Helsi will provide clear pathways for veterans to receive medical assistance: online appointment scheduling, clear next steps, and organized support within connected facilities. This will minimize bureaucracy and maximize efficiency in support.
Additionally, the agreement plans to enhance the information available to Odesa residents about the National Program “Screening 40+” and to create easy access to it through push notifications and online scheduling at patient-friendly medical facilities.
“Openness and digitalization are key components of a modern healthcare system in Odesa. This partnership is about practical changes: less waiting, more accessibility, transparent processes, and modern services for people,” emphasized Olena Kolodenko, the director of the Department of Health of Odesa City Council.
