Road Safety: The Importance of Adhering to Traffic Rules
The primary goal is to ensure safety on transport routes, particularly in hazardous areas and recreational spots.
As noted by Alexander Dovbish, Deputy Head of the Preventive Activities Department of the National Police in the Odessa region, law enforcement conducts such operations annually when there is an increase in mopeds and motorcycles on the roads and a rise in accidents involving this type of transport.
«Traffic accidents often occur due to drivers ignoring traffic rules. We continuously remind drivers of this during preventive talks. We emphasize the unacceptability of driving under the influence, neglecting protective gear, and violating maneuvering and speed regulations», - stated Police Major Alexander Dovbish.
Police particularly focus on underage individuals operating motorcycles without proper training or licenses.
Law enforcement reminds that only individuals aged 16 and older, who have completed training, passed exams, and obtained motorcycle licenses of categories A and A1, are allowed to operate motorcycles and mopeds. Drivers must wear helmets and strictly adhere to traffic regulations.
Police also draw attention to the need for drivers to monitor their vehicle’s technical condition.
We urge all road users to be responsible and adhere to traffic rules. These are fundamental measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
