Preparation of Odessa's Beaches for the New Season
Last year, 24 new recreational areas and 2 municipal beaches were opened in Odessa.
The 2024 health season was successful, providing a comfortable retreat for both locals and tourists in Odessa.
Currently, preparations for the new recreational season are underway along the Odessa coast.
Beach opening requirements remain unchanged: only those beaches meeting safety standards will operate.
The municipal «Rescue and Diving Service» is conducting inspections and clearing the water from hazardous objects.
Municipal and rented beaches are also preparing rescue posts and equipment.
Along the coast, 12 shelters have already been recommended for visitor safety.
Additionally, regular patrols are being conducted to monitor the waters for dangerous items.
This year, special attention is being given to creating barrier-free environments on the beaches for individuals with disabilities and other mobility-challenged groups. Renters are implementing inclusion elements on the beaches.
Further information regarding beach openings will be provided after inspections by a commission including local administration, emergency services, and police representatives.
